Here’s a quick review of the Zacuto Striker/Crossfire (if you call 3:30 mins. quick). I’ve been using the Striker for a year, and I’m still impressed with it’s quality build. I’ve thought about adding to the Striker and making it more of a shoulder mount system, but haven’t yet for a few reason.

1. I normally don’t shoot handheld for hours at a time. Most of my shooting is brief. About 5 minutes max at a time. This gives my shoulders and arms time to recover between shots.

2. I love how compact the Striker is. I don’t need a carrying case to move it to various locations. This keeps things simple and quick.

3. I’m not sure what my next camera will be. I’m using the Canon 7D currently and I’m happy with it. However, next year I may update gear. I know the Striker will work with most smaller large chip video cameras, such as the Panasonic AF-100 and the Sony FS 100, but until I make that decision I won’t update my support gear.

Hope this review helps anyone looking at support gear for their camera.
