Chris Weatherly is a director from Evansville, Indiana.

He has over 20 years of shooting experience in both still photography and video. After earning his Master of Visual Communications degree from Ohio University, he worked as a photojournalist. Now Chris works as a full-time freelance director for Wavelength Films where his unique style blurs the lines between narrative and documentary storytelling. He’s also passionate about striking visuals and emotionally driven stories.


CARE addresses the needs of foster care in the Evansville, Indiana region. Due to the growing meth and opioid epidemic children of addicted parents find themselves in the foster care system. Evansville has a limited number of foster families but an ever increasing number of foster children. The hope of the producers of CARE is the film will show people how they can get involved in helping with foster care. Being a foster parent isn't the only solution. The short film releases May 9th. It was also an official selection for the MayDay Film Festival and will be screened on May 18th at Showplace Cinema South.

The film was produced by Left Turn Productions, written by Jonathan Boettcher and directed by Chris Weatherly.
